Gerilynn Falasco is a notable Partner at Salenger, Sack, Kimmel & Bavaro with almost 15 years of valuable legal experience to offer her clients. Possessing a previous background as a defense attorney, Gerilynn uses her extensive knowledge of both sides of the law to secure positive outcomes for her clients in the areas of personal injury law, estate planning, and guardianship.
As an accomplished attorney, wife, and mother of two young sons, Gerilynn understands the importance of stability within a family. Her genuine compassion for her clients and natural ability to empathize with their struggles allows her to build a trusting relationship early on in the legal process. Through a firm and supportive approach, Gerilynn passionately advocates for her clients to achieve favorable results in a variety of different case types. Her thoroughness provides her clients with the assurance that their best interests are a top priority and allows them peace of mind in a time when emotions run high.
Prior to advocating for plaintiffs, Gerilynn worked for a defense firm in the general liability and medical malpractice defense department. This experience provided her first-hand knowledge of the methods hospitals and medical staff use to oppose personal injury claims, and the ability to provide her current clients with a significant advantage during litigation. Additionally, her dual background in the medical malpractice field has equipped her with the competence to discuss complex medical cases with physicians and specialists to adequately prove the severity of damages her clients have sustained.
Outside of the firm, Gerilynn is an active member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Elder Law Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association, which consists of a very supportive base of Elder Law practitioners, eager to brainstorm and find the best ways to provide necessary assistance to the elderly.
Gerilynn primarily concentrates her practice in the areas of personal injury, estate planning, and guardianship. She is proficient in Spanish, expanding her capabilities to successfully represent the legal interests of clients from multicultural backgrounds. Most recently, Gerilynn has represented clients in the fields of trusts and estates, elder law, Medicaid, and guardianship, exclusively practicing in these areas from 2013 to 2019.
Gerilynn graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Language and Literature from the State University of New York at Stony Brook before obtaining her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 2004. She was admitted to the Bar in 2005 and is licensed to practice law in New York State and the United States District Court Eastern District. Gerilynn proudly joined the team at SSKB as a Partner in September 2019.
